Job Description

Note: This position offers remote work with significant travel (over 75%). Candidates must reside in Nebraska, Iowa, or Kansas or be willing to relocate.

Overview

• Provide expert technical support for specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting software-driven electronics.
• Provision communication system infrastructure and optimize RF and broadband architecture, including legacy and advanced systems.
• Program, configure, test, and document complex communication systems.
• Provide regular reports highlighting activities and accomplishments.

Duties may include

• Performing preventative maintenance routines to ensure optimal system operation, focusing on trend analysis and documentation.
• Developing solutions for challenging technical issues during system implementation and upgrades.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of wired communication systems, including LAN and WAN, with proficiency in installation, configuration, and maintenance of cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
• Expertise in server hardware, OS installation, and troubleshooting system/application issues.
• Familiarity with RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
• Proficient with communications test equipment.
• Knowledge of telephony and dedicated data circuits, along with packet switching techniques.
• Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
• Exceptional self-management and communication skills.
• Ability to resolve customer issues promptly, even in high-pressure situations.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Additional Skills

• Experience in optimizing and supporting complex communication systems.
• Knowledge of logging recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communication systems, and networking equipment.
• Unique combination of RF communications and computer/networking skills is required.

Equipment Experience

• Consoles (MCC7500, MCC7100)
• Channel Banks and T1 Circuits
• Computer IP Networks and Configuration
• Experience with RF Infrastructure Technologies

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 USD

The actual salary offer will be based on individual qualifications and experience.

Basic Requirements

• 4+ years of technical or engineering experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; sponsorship is not available for this position.
