Your primary responsibility will be to architect and optimize robust, scalable AI systems while successfully integrating AI models into production using best MLOps practices. Our aim is to ensure these systems are resilient, compliant, and efficient. Your strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills will be critical in managing risk and change in complex environments.
This role focuses on strategic company initiatives while also playing a significant part in project delivery and solution capture. We value adaptability and strategic communication in our fast-paced technology landscape.
This is a remote position.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to government contract requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced AI software applications, ensuring top-notch scalability, performance, and seamless integration with enterprise systems.
- Be responsible for developing and modifying systems software essential for operating and controlling hardware and providing a platform for internal business applications.
- Develop and communicate insightful algorithms, covering descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive models.
- Utilize knowledge in experimental methodologies, statistics, optimization, and machine learning to build tools for statistical analysis and modeling.
- Lead technical implementation efforts, translating intricate algorithms and specifications into practical code while mentoring junior engineers and guiding team development practices.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advocate for and advance the responsible use of AI, ML, and data science solutions across the enterprise, tailoring tools and processes to deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to, curate, and promote playbooks, best practices, lessons learned, and the firm's intellectual capital.
- Support enterprise-wide efforts to create impactful solutions leveraging AI capabilities such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, LLMs, and classical machine learning.
- Stay current on AI technology developments, assessing their applicability in production and operational settings.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficient in programming (Python, etc.), software engineering, DevOps, and modern methodologies.
- Experience in API programming, Linux, and Machine Learning.
- Over 3 years in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- At least 7 years in software development and 4+ years with cloud solutions.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working as an individual contributor in AI.
- Innovative use of state-of-the-art technology to solve operational challenges in AI and Machine Learning.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, software engineering principles, and cloud computing infrastructures (both standalone and cloud).
- Ability to design custom solutions within AI and Advanced Analytics tailored to customer needs.
- Skilled in building reference implementations for operational AI processing solutions.
- Familiarity with various programming languages, including Python/Java and frontend frameworks for demos and dashboarding.
- Experience in program automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of deep learning model architectures and philosophy.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are advantageous.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in AI, advanced analytics, or software development, particularly with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Pandas.
