Electrical Engineer/ Controls Engineer

Kice Industries has an exciting opportunity to join our world-class Automation team where excellence comes together through innovation, diligence, and execution. We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer who can tackle the following responsibilities.
1. Acts as project lead on assigned deliverables by ensuring customer satisfaction and timely completion of projects.
2. Programs and troubleshoots programming issues for electrical and controls systems.
3. Provides programming support to customers and co-workers.
4. Reviews product design specifications and recommends the best programming technique to address customer needs.
5. Visits customer sites to perform system commissioning, troubleshooting & some sales services to generate business.
6. Negotiates with vendors to secure the best pricing.
A strong candidate will meet the following qualifications and requirements.
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is a must.
2. Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment required.
3. Minimum of 3 years previous experience with automation system design required.
4. Proficiency with at least two, preferably all the following software: MS Office, Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk Studio 5k, Factory Talk View Studio, Connected Components Workbench required.
5. Basic understanding of complex ethernet networking required.
6. Strong fundamental knowledge of controls and electrical system design required.
7. Some experience with VBA and SQL would be helpful.
8. Knowledge of Power Distribution is helpful but not required.
9. Ability to travel as needed to support projects required.
10. Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment while at customer sites.
11. Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
12. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on quality and accuracy.
14. Exhibits dependability, including following instructions, responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
15. Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
16. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
