Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineering Expert specializing in substations. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing innovative electric master system plans, power systems, protection models, and renewable energy systems. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of electrical design projects, ensuring that the final outcome meets the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include
- Creating intricate designs and layouts utilizing advanced techniques and software.
- Conducting electrical calculations and simulations for diverse systems, including lighting and fire alarms.
- Performing site assessments to ensure that designs align with location specifications.
- Updating existing designs and incorporating feedback from project stakeholders.
- Developing technical documentation for new designs and contributing to the firm's knowledge management.
- Collaborating with sales teams to formulate compelling proposals for client requests.
- Attending industry conferences to promote the firm's innovative solutions.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth within the firm.
- Engaging with clients to understand their current and future needs.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience are essential. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. This position may require some domestic or international travel based on project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience leading substation engineering projects up to 345kV.
- Strong proficiency in protective relay schemes and schematic design.
- Familiarity with NESC and NEC standards, as well as grounding grid design.

Location: This role can be performed remotely within the United States, and hybrid work options may be considered for the right candidate.
Pay Range: $81,765 - $134,909
