About the Role
We're expanding into a new sector of our manufacturing business and need an experienced engineer to help establish and optimize our manufacturing operations from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to build systems, processes, and infrastructure while working directly with ownership in a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient shop layouts and process flows for new manufacturing operations
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fabrication and assembly processes
- Create detailed fabrication drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
- Design work cells, optimize production scheduling, and improve workflow efficiency
- Establish procurement systems and receiving processes for components and materials
- Support automation initiatives including integration of robotic welding systems
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for operations management and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and fabrication drawings
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, work cell design, and lean principles
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with weld design and automated welding systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Background in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety standards

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
