About the position Responsibilities Serve as a trusted communications advisor and coach to business leaders.

Create, implement and oversee external communications programs and public relations activities, including product announcements and media events.

Develop effective relationships with key members of the media and serve as an official company spokesperson.

Create and disseminate content including press releases, articles, and social media content.

Provide counsel and support for crisis management and executive communications.

Ensure brand values and visual identity are incorporated into deliverables.

Develop and sustain processes to improve the efficiency of communications functions and measure impact.

Partner with other Textron business units to leverage communications opportunities.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in media relations and strategic communications.

Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills utilizing AP style.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.

Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

Strong project management skills, including experience managing outside agencies and vendors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products, knowledgeable in social networking and content marketing.

Nice-to-haves Experience in the aviation industry and global exposure.

Creativity and interpersonal savvy.
