Position Title: Marketing & Branding Coordinator (Non-Profit) Wichita Sports Commission
Location: Wichita, KS
Employment Type: Part-time (up to 25 hours a week – including occasional evenings and weekends). Great internship opportunity. This is a contract position, with potential for full-time employment.
About Us
We are more than a sports organization (and we need help marketing our events), we are a movement that uses the power of athletics to inspire, unite, and create positive changes in our community. From grassroots programs to major events, our mission is to make sports accessible, inclusive, and impactful for all. (We also need to be better at promoting Wichita’s sports community, so you will be busy.)
The candidate must understand and further the mission and objectives of the WSC including the promotion & marketing for key annual events owned/operated by WSC (Prairie Fire Race Series, Greater Wichita Sports Banquet featuring the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year, Wichita Corporate Challenge, and Wichita Turkey Trot).
The Role
We are seeking an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic sports marketing professional to lead our branding, media, and outreach efforts. This is your chance to combine your love for sports with a purpose-driven mission — telling stories that matter and driving support for events/programs that change lives.
What You will Do
- Brand Storytelling: Develop and execute campaigns that highlight our mission, events, athletes, and community impact.
- Media & Digital Strategy: Manage social media, website content, and email marketing to grow awareness and engagement.
- Event Promotion: Create buzz for community events through creative marketing and PR.
- Content Creation: Produce videos, graphics, and written content that inspire action and support.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with fans, volunteers, and partners to strengthen the Wichita Sports Commission network.
- Graphic Design: Brand credibility, social templates, graphics, email banners, sales proposal packages
- Teaser Video Series: Short, high-energy clips featuring behind-the-scenes training, locker room moments, and fan reactions — released across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

- Experience in marketing, branding, or media (sports or non-profit experience a plus).
- Strong storytelling skills — both visual and written.
- Comfort with social media platforms, digital tools, and analytics.

Qualifications
· Minimum of bachelor’s degree in related field or working towards degree completion
· Demonstrated work experience in related field(s).
· Must be physically active in preparation and execution of events.
