We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Project Estimator / Sales Consultant to join our growing team. In this key role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, guiding them through every stage of the process from initial consultation to signed contract. This is a full-cycle sales and estimating position where your ability to build trust, educate clients, and deliver precise, value-driven proposals will directly drive our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make first contact with leads and schedule in-home project consultations to assess client needs and vision.
  • Conduct thorough site visits to evaluate projects and determine the best approach.
  • For smaller, straightforward projects: Prepare accurate, detailed estimates covering all labor, materials, in-house crew, subcontractors, and supplier quotes.
  • For larger or complex projects: Present and sell our Design Agreement as the first step; prepare the agreement, secure signatures, and collect payment.
  • Manage the full design process: Coordinate and attend joint measure sessions with our drafter and designer; gather all necessary information; oversee progress from concept to final design.
  • Compile comprehensive, precise estimates by gathering quotes from subcontractors/suppliers and internal teams, ensuring every detail is accounted for.
  • Present final proposals to clients, highlighting the superior quality, value, and long-term benefits of working with Wichita Home Works.
  • Negotiate and close the project: Draft contracts, obtain signatures, and secure initial payments.
  • Juggle multiple projects simultaneously across various stages while maintaining exceptional organization, follow-up, and communication.

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized; comfortable managing several projects in different phases without dropping the ball.
  • Solid understanding of construction/remodeling processes, materials, labor, and cost factors (experience in home remodeling, kitchens, bathrooms, or similar a big plus).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding client experiences.
