Project Manager

Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will drive projects forward using agile methods, coordinating with Engineering and Product to manage timelines and resolve issues. You may also serve as Scrum Master, leading agile ceremonies and reporting team productivity. You'll oversee multiple projects, ensure alignment with business objectives, and promote continuous improvement and risk management. This remote contract-to-hire role sits within TEKsystems' transformation-focused environment and offers exposure to enterprise-scale programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting, and monitoring within agile context
• Motivate cross-functional teams and foster an agile, collaborative environment
• Deliver technical projects on time and within budget according to business objectives
• Develop comprehensive, agile-oriented project plans including scope, milestones, and quality management
• Manage multiple scrum teams and ensure adherence to Agile practices
• Facilitate backlog grooming and align priorities with sprint planning
• Engage across the organization to uphold PDLC governance
• Maintain and prioritize requirements backlog in line with needs
• Collaborate with Product Management to drive effective sprint planning
• Remove impediments to maintain continuous workflow
• Monitor project health, dependencies, and milestones
• Conduct retrospectives and promote continuous improvement
• Uphold risk management and data integrity principles

Key requirements

• Project Management Professional (PM) certification
• Experience leading Agile, Scrum within software development teams
• Proficiency with Jira Software, Jira Plans, and Confluence
• 10+ years in Insurance IT projects (Property/Casualty) preferred
• Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate across leadership levels
