Materials Review Board (MRB) Engineer

Position Overview

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced MRB Liaison Engineer to support a leading aerospace manufacturer in Wichita, KS. This onsite role is focused on resolving non-conformances and designing structural repairs for commercial aircraft while ensuring compliance with established engineering and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected Hours: 40 – 60 per week Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities

• Support aircraft production operations and troubleshoot issues on the manufacturing floor.
• Review, analyze, and disposition non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Design effective and compliant structural repairs for metallic airframes.
• Collaborate with stress, design, materials, quality, and operations teams to ensure optimal repair solutions.
• Maintain documentation and traceability of all MRB engineering actions.
• Apply standard repair practices and ensure technical accuracy of all dispositions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and support overall program goals.

Required Qualifications

• Prior MRB experience on primary aircraft structures is mandatory.
• Proven ability to perform MRB analysis and issue engineering dispositions for structural non-conformances.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 and standard office tools (MS Office Suite).
