Career Services Marketing and Communications Intern

**Overview:**

The Career Services Marketing and Communications Intern will play a crucial role in promoting the Career Services department at Newman University. This internship provides an opportunity to develop marketing and communication skills while working closely with the Director of Career Services and other university departments. **Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee all marketing campaigns related to Career Services at Newman University
  • Serve as Co-Chair for the Newman University Career Fair, reaching out to participants, sending thank you cards, and satisfaction surveys
  • Set up and monitor lunch employer tables in Mabee Dining Hall
  • Manage the Career Services Handshake and LinkedIn webpages
  • Provide ongoing customer service-oriented communication with external employers interested in working with Career Services
  • Project a professional, positive, and supportive attitude to students, staff, faculty, and visitors
  • Support and participate in campus community activities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • *Qualifications:**
  • Must be a current Newman University student enrolled full-time
  • Be at least a sophomore level student in Communications, Digital Design, Marketing, or another related program
  • Possess strong customer service skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, online creative platforms, and a willingness to learn new software programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and independent worker with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain flexibility with student and university schedules to accommodate office hours and ongoing events
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
