Part Time to Full Time Graphic Designer and Production Project Coordinator Wichita, KS

Jump Start is seeking a creative & highly motivated professional to join our marketing team. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as you’ll work closely with multiple departments—including, Category Management, Merchandising, Distribution and Price Book—as well as external vendors. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our print and digital signage programs are executed smoothly, on time, and with attention to detail.

Reports to Wichita Corporate Office, this is not a remote work opportunity.
An opportunity to set your own schedule with the minimum amount of 30 office hours per week between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Primary Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Design and procure print signage for new items, existing products, limited time offers, and merchandising campaigns, including negotiating pricing and timelines with external suppliers
Collaborate to design and develop a wide range of static and animated signage, ensuring brand consistency, accurate pricing, and clear messaging
Create new retail solutions from concept and spec creation on the retail sales floor. Conception to completion inclusive of tactic kitting and deployment.
Maintain clear communication channels across departments and with external partners to support signage initiatives
Oversee signage production, fulfillment and inventor and coordinate logistics.
Analyze campaign redemption data in coordination with Category Management to refine and optimize insert advertising strategies

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Design & Creative Projects

Graphic design and campaign development for both retail sales floor and internal communication projects.
Develop systems and structures for asset libraries and comms calendars that aid seamless transitions.
Contribute creative ideas that align with the company’s vision and brand identity.
Create and implement efficient processes to build the team’s art department.

Liaison & Coordination

Ability to write creative briefs and coordinate workflow across multiple departments.
Act as a point of contact between outside talent and internal teams.
Coordinate project management efforts, ensuring clear communication and timely project completion.

Collaborative Teamwork & Independent Work: Work independently while contributing as an active team member. Participate in team meetings and provide creative input.

Video Design & Animation (Preferred)

Collaborate on video design and animation projects when required with production team. Bring creative vision and imagination to multimedia initiatives.

Qualifications

Education & Professional Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent combination of education and experience is required with a minimum of two years related experience (Seniors in a BA program are eligible for internship status or work study).

Sound understanding of Marketing principles
Knowledge of retail environment to assist in planning, coordination, and execution of loyalty initiatives in retail stores. Understanding of tactic production practices and retail marketing management.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong command of Adobe InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
Retail design experience preferred.
Pre-production work a plus.
