Associate Data Scientist - Decision Analytics (Customer Experience Economics)

Overview

In this role you help develop algorithms and models on large datasets to drive profitability, efficiency, and improved customer experience. You collaborate with Data Scientists to apply advanced analytics and solve business problems, with potential specialization in areas like optimization, computer vision, recommendation, or NLP. You translate insights for both technical and non-technical audiences and support progress updates to stakeholders. You continuously learn and align solutions with business needs across assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms and models for large datasets to generate business insights
• Support data science projects with rigorous analysis to solve problems
• Collaborate with Data Scientists or Senior Data Scientists on methodology selection and interpretation
• Acquire business knowledge of assigned areas to tailor solutions
• Communicate insights and recommendations to diverse audiences
• Prepare reports or presentations on project progress
• Stay current with industry trends and continually develop analytics skills

Key requirements

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (preferred) or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in a modern scripting language (preferably Python)
• Experience querying data (preferably Google BigQuery or SQL)
• Experience with predictive modeling, data mining and data analysis
• Experience with data visualization software (preferably Tableau)
• Knowledge of statistical techniques to extract insights
• Basic knowledge of prescriptive modeling areas (optimization, computer vision, recommendation, NLP)
• Bachelor's degree (minimum education)
