Role Description The Industrial Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Wichita, Kansas Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and promoting industrial equipment and automation solutions to customers. Day-to-day tasks include visiting client sites, understanding application requirements, preparing proposals and quotes, and delivering technical product presentations. The Industrial Sales Engineer collaborates with internal teams to ensure accurate specifications, timely delivery, and high-quality customer support. The role also includes tracking sales activities, maintaining CRM records, and contributing to sales forecasts and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Sales and Sales Management, including lead generation, opportunity tracking, and closing deals.
  • Strong Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on relationship-building, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
  • Experience in Business Development, including market research, prospecting, and expanding accounts.
  • Knowledge of Automation and industrial equipment, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and client interactions.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office productivity software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Wichita Metropolitan Area and nearby regions for customer visits.
