About the position

Gray Media’s Sales Training Program at KWCH is a paid, hands-on internship that introduces students to the fundamentals of media sales through practical work and coaching. The 10-week program gives interns experience supporting local broadcast and digital advertising sales, working alongside Media Executives and Sales Leaders, and taking part in weekly training. It is designed to develop skills applicable to sales, marketing, media, and other careers. The internship is part-time with flexible hours designed for students. Intern pay ranges from the applicable state minimum wage to \$15 per hour. Opportunities are available across Gray Media markets nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Learn to prospect and identify new business opportunities.
• Practice cold calls with coaching.
• Build client presentations and proposals.
• Support digital and broadcast sales strategies.
• Work alongside experienced Media Executives and Sales Leaders.
• Participate in weekly training.
• Learn to initiate conversations with clients, sell multi-platform TV and digital advertising solutions, create and present pitches, and manage a sales pipeline to grow revenue.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university; seniors are preferred.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, or a related field.
• Desire to gain hands-on experience in the local media industry.

• Senior year of college or university is preferred.
