Job Summary of Branch Sales Associate
Floor & Decor's Branch Sales Associate play a key role in continuously providing customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products to complete their project. Our Branch Sales Associate contribute to a fast pace, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. Responsibilities of Branch Sales Associate
- Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend our products and excite customers about their purchase.
- Provide above and beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations when assisting customers.
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shoppable and safe.
- Work in cooperation with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
- Process customers at checkout using point of sale (POS) system.
- Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
- Follow established cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures.
- Create price tags and merchandise signs. Stock, tag and display merchandise.
- Act and work in a manner consistent with the company's core values.
- Demonstrate and understand compliance of the company's safety processes.
- Answer telephone according to the company guidelines.
- Be available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
- Work in a fast pace environment with accuracy.
Requirements of Branch Sales Associate
- Only those who have reached the age of 18 or older are permitted.
- Understanding fundamental mathematical concepts.
- Customer service experience.
- Skill in multitasking and excelling in challenging circumstances.
- Meeting forklift certification requirements from F&D might be necessary for certain positions.
- Successful completion of a drug test is required for individuals seeking certification to use heavy equipment in states where it is allowed.
Working Conditions of Branch Sales Associate
- Exposure to a warehouse environment and mobile machinery is possible for employees as they carry out their job responsibilities.
Physical/Sensory Requirements of Branch Sales Associate:
- Ability to apply force intermittently between 30 and 60 pounds, with frequent application of 20-30 pounds of force, and constant application of up to 20 pounds of force for moving objects through various physical actions.
- Employees are frequently expected to have hands-on involvement, using their hands and fingers for tasks that involve feeling or handling.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
