Your Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying vehicles that meet their needs by utilizing your knowledge of our extensive inventory.
• Guide customers through the entire sales process, which includes appraisals, test drives, and finance applications.
• Provide an outstanding customer experience by listening attentively and delivering accurate, straightforward information.
• Ensure smooth transactions by completing all necessary documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to satisfy customer needs and meet store objectives.
• Maintain a professional, customer-first approach in every interaction. Stay knowledgeable about CarMax products, services, and promotions to enhance customer service.

Qualifications Needed

• Sales or customer service experience in retail or similar environments is preferred.
• Strong listening and communication abilities with a focus on serving customers.
• Effective self-motivation and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation: Sales Consultants typically earn an average of $65,000 annually, with top performers earning $90,000+.

Hourly Rate: $7.75 - $20.00

Commissions: This role is eligible for commission.

Benefits: CarMax associates enjoy various paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Full-time hourly or commissioned associates can accrue up to 48 hours of sick time and between 80 to 200 hours of vacation depending on their tenure. Additionally, they receive 8 hours of pay for each of 6 scheduled holidays plus 1 floating holiday per year. Full-time salaried associates receive paid time off without a set limit for various personal needs, subject to management approval.
