Senior Developer Experience Engineer

Articulate is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Developer Experience Engineer to join our dynamic Platform team

As a Senior Developer Experience Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Developer Experience team, focusing on the development and maintenance of internal tools that empower our product engineers to enhance their efficiency and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Set an example of best practices for your team and adjacent groups in building robust systems and tools.
• Enhance and maintain our platform tooling systems.
• Engage in technical discussions related to our platform systems.
• Mentor and guide less-experienced team members.
• Deliver software and infrastructure that is well-tested and thoroughly documented.
• Adopt a proactive approach to problem-solving, focusing on measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate on project milestones, breaking down large initiatives into manageable tasks and overseeing ticket management.
• Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
• Participate in our on-call rotation and contribute to incident reviews.
• Develop and execute necessary testing to uphold our quality standards.
• Ensure timely execution of technical projects according to expected milestones.
• Work proactively and rapidly to devise solutions to challenges.
• Embrace a growth mindset, viewing mistakes as learning opportunities and tackling unfamiliar tasks with enthusiasm.
• Foster collaboration through open dialogue with a variety of contributors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Go, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
• Proficient in container technologies such as Docker.
• Experience managing and configuring AWS cloud environments.
• Skilled in maintaining and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments and skilled in scripting.
• Familiar with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies.
• Ability to work independently and complete solutions with minimal guidance.
• Strong skills in scoping, estimating, and creating work items from overarching initiatives.
• A passion for continuous learning and a growth mindset.
• A focus on creating positive experiences for both internal product engineers and end users.
• Experience sharing knowledge across teams to foster a self-service platform experience.
• Strong background in writing, executing, and automating test cases for new features and ongoing maintenance.
• Direct experience using KPIs to enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Effective facilitation skills with experience mentoring others.
• Commitment to iterative development practices, delivering value incrementally.

The salary range for this position is $126,100 to $189,100. This reflects the minimum and maximum compensation believed to be appropriate for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including skills, experience, and organizational needs. This role is also bonus eligible, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.

This remote position can be performed from anywhere within the United States, though occasional travel for company events may be required. Employees must reside and work in the U.S. throughout their employment and notify Articulate of any address changes.
