The welder operator welds together metal components. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and work orders, visually inspecting parts, operating welding equipment, cleaning the work area, troubleshooting equipment problems, and ensuring proper equipment functioning.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, one to three years of previous welding experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and reduce costs is required. Basic shop math skills, ability to work with close tolerances, and strong communication, reading, and writing skills are necessary. Ability to operate department equipment, interact professionally, and prioritize work efficiently is essential.
