Rotating Equipment Engineer

Position Overview

Koch Ag & Energy is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to support multiple

manufacturing plants across the Midwest and other U.S. locations. This is a long-term W2 contract role

offering a flexible, primarily remote work environment, with periodic travel to plant sites as needed. The

engineer will work from home while providing technical expertise, reliability support, and operational

guidance across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines,

motors, and associated auxiliaries

• Support multiple Koch Ag & Energy plants with troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and

equipment performance optimization

• Lead and participate in root cause failure analyses (RCFA) and develop corrective action plans
• Support maintenance strategies, inspections, repairs, and equipment upgrades
• Review equipment designs, specifications, and vendor submittals
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams across multiple sites
• Support capital projects, turnarounds, and plant outages as needed
• Travel to plant sites periodically for hands-on support, assessments, and meetings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience supporting rotating equipment in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and troubleshooting practices
• Experience supporting multiple sites or remote facilities (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Work Environment & Travel

• Primarily remote / work-from-home
• Occasional travel to Koch Ag & Energy plant locations
• Travel frequency varies based on business and project needs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
